Elemental Healing
Tattvas (aka elements - ether, air, water, fire and earth) are what come together from the cosmos to make YOU. You are a unique recipe of these ingredients which, when in balance, will give you nervous system strength, strong digestion, motivation and vitality, and mental clarity and focus.
Ayurvedic Medicine informs us of the importance of learning how to interact on all levels of our being using food, herbs, breath, movement, and sound for health and wellbeing. This Kundalini Yoga class series will give you insight on how to do this with regard to movement, breath, posture, sound and listening.
You will discover your own abilities to find a quiet mind and a calm body so you can step into more health and wellbeing every day.

Class 2 - Ether
Referred to as 'akasha' in Sanskrit, ether is the element that comes first in yogic and Ayurvedic thinking. Ether is without the firmness of earth, the coolness of water, the heat of fire or even the movement of wind. It is therefore the very essence of 'emptiness'. The space element is the most subtle of all elements.

Class 3 -Fire
Ether offers the space where fire can manifest, while air furnishes fire with the ability to ignite and burn. The Fire element in Ayurveda governs the digestive fire, or “Agni,” which resides in the stomach and small intestine. A strong Agni ensures efficient digestion and absorption of nutrients.

Class 4 -Water
Water, known in Sanskrit as “Apas”, evolves from Ether, Air and Fire because it contains all aspects of the other three elements. Apas represents fluid matter and provides the body with basic nourishment and protection against dissolution, gives motion and soothes pain and inflammation.

Class 5 - Earth
Earth (Prithvi)
The earth element represents the matter of the universe. It gives form to the human body and all creation. This structure provided by the earth is the conduit through which all other elements flow. Earth originates from gandha, the tanmatra of smell.

YOU ARE MADE OF EARTH AND STARS
You exist because the elements came together to make it so.
The tattvas (elements - ether, air, water, fire and earth) are the ingredients that have come together in a unique recipe that is YOU. Often health or mental health concerns arise from an imbalance of those tattvas inside your system, as auryvedic medicine informs us. The Kundalini Yoga sets inside this course will educate you on how to balance those elements within you for a more quiet mind and calm body (aka nervous system regulation & flexibility) so you can enjoy every day much more fully.
