How I went from tired & under-paid to 150K and relaxed
Dear Therapist,
What took me from 80K and working my butt off, to 150K, working with dream clients and a schedule that allowed me to be present for my 10 year old son was a combination of a few things:
First, I had to make the decision that my needs (and my family's needs) mattered more than the old programmed way of running a private practice (that doesn't mean I didn't care about my clients, on the contrary… I cared so much that I wanted to find a sustainable way to continue to be a therapist so I could serve them).
Second, I had to figure out who I'm here to serve.
In other words, what kind of client I work really well with.
What issues are they dealing with? What are their dreams and desires? What do I know they need? How do I get them from point A to point B with my talents?
Third, I had to make a plan for how to shift my business structure to allow for more dream clients to come into my practice without burning me out! (EMDR Intensives played a huge role in this for me).
Fourth, and probably the most impactful, I had to learn how to share what I do in an effective way that speaks to my dream clients' soul.
That meant learning the skills associated with simple marketing, and finding the courage to try it out in different ways.
But I could only do that once I cleaned up my own inner limiting beliefs and fears about getting louder, and stepping into my own power as a healer and leader.
(I'll mention that Kundalini Yoga created an energetic foundation for this all to occur in a short amount of time. More on this amazing technology soon!)
The coaching industry has a lot to offer us therapists, and I do believe there's a lot of value in receiving support outside of our profession, too.
However, in my case, I felt safer knowing my coach was also a therapist and could understand the specifics of the profession, and I'm absolutely sure I would not have reached my business goals if it weren't for her.
I has been a real journey, and it continues to evolve.
I want all therapists to have the freedom to create a practice that feels aligned, exciting, transformational, and profitable.
I really believe therapists are here to help usher humanity into a more harmonious existence through our skills of healing trauma, repairing relationships, and igniting creativity.
And I believe that we deserve to be well-resourced in the process :)
If you're ready to get clear on your services, and your magic, and set yourself up for a successful 2024, let me know I have some amazing strategies for you :)
